Mathews County Treasurer’s Office accepts Credit Card Payments
The Mathews County Treasurer’s Office now accepts American Express, Discover, Visa, and Mastercard for payment of the following taxes either online or by telephone through a third-party vendor - MSB/Municipal Service Bureau. If you would like to pay in person with a debit or credit card, the office accepts Discover, Mastercard or Visa, or American Express.

This service is safe, reliable, and in accordance with all state and government regulations. In order to process your payment, MSB/Municipal Service Bureau, the credit card service provider, charges a nominal convenience fee based on the amount or type of the transaction.

To pay by credit card over the phone call the Mathews Treasurer’s Office at (804)725-2341 during normal business hours Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. To pay taxes by credit card or e-check over the Internet use the MSB/Municipal Service Bureau.
