MATHEWS MARITIME HERITAGE TRAIL - EAST RIVER GUIDE

The East River Trail Guide is now available online.  The Mathews Maritime Foundation, working in partnership with VIMS' Center for Coastal Resources Management (CCRM), the National Park Service and others, has developed a water trail guide to the East River.  The guide provides the opportunity for motorized and non-motorized watercraft to view historic wharf sites, homes and estates, tidal mills, marshes and wildlife along the East River.  The East River Guide is the first in a series of what is hoped to be a complete Maritme Heritage Trail for all of the major waterways in Mathews County.  The East River Trail Guide can be found on VIMS' website by clicking on the following link:  www.ccrm.vims.edu/gis_data_maps/static_maps/mathews_watertrail/index.html
